Welcome to the Gujarati School of Queensland. Gujarati Community of Queensland (GCQ) Inc operated Brisbane Gujarati School is the first Gujarati community language school established in Queensland, Australia. This school is operating under one of the principal programs of the GCQ in collaboration with ORA Sydney Gujarati Grammar School. The Gujarati School is operated and managed by its dedicated member families and volunteers.
Our objective and mission are to make it as easy and accessible as possible for language students and great teachers to find each other and connect around Queensland.
We have enabled Distance Education online platform to provide our students with even more choices about how to learn the Gujarati language from January 2021.
We have students from Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba regions.
Raising bilingual children and preserving their heritage language is a combined work of family, school and community. GCQ organises cultural, educational, and festival experiences through the Gujarati language, managed by volunteer parents, educators, and professionals from the Gujarati Community of Queensland Inc. Face-to-face classes are combined with online meetings, offering weekly meetings. Online classes aim to allow the inclusion of children from all parts of Queensland.
The School operates on Saturdays except for school and public holidays.
